The dish that reminds me of my childhood

As a child, I absolutely hated fish. So, a sole with oil and lemon was the only fish I could accept eating for many years. Definitely a dish that reminds me of my childhood!

Who taught you to cook?

Nobody, I tried to steal secrets from my family (Grandma, my aunt, dad, etc) but also sometimes when I eat something I really like in a restaurant, I tend to research it online and try to make it my own. 

Your favourite 3 restaurants in your home city…

I’m someone who chooses always a “friendly” (literally owned by my friends) place where I can feel comfortable and basically where eventually I don’t really have to follow the rules (reservations, last minute friends adding, staying in a restaurant till late, etc). So, I’d definitely go for these 3 places:

Sapori Solari, fantastic steakhouse owned by one of my best friends

Al Buco probably the most representative ­­­­pizzeria of Bari.

Hagakure, best sushi in town!

Oh, that would definitely be Antonino Cannavacciuolo! He’s from south of Italy, I’ve never met him in real life, but you can tell he’s so much fun. Just love him!

Sorry, but I’ll have to go for 4 invites. Ok. How this cast of eaters reunited sounds? Jean Michel Basquiat, Aphex Twin, Martin Gore and Trent Reznor.

I was trying to make my own Bolognese and forgot to add water in the pot. Meat was sticking to that and burned out. Tasted horrible after. lol

Luckily (or unfortunately?!) there is nothing I cannot eat; however, I have a slight lactose intolerance and therefore I try not to overdo it with cheese.

Waking up, getting to discover a new “Caleta” or a beach you’ve never been to – the more unknown and the less people are around the better. Then going with the flow till sunset time having a nice dinner somewhere eating paella and drinking sangria, a little nap straight after to get the right energy, wake up and then boom you’re in the club. Time to leave? Ok so you HAVE to get back at the airport straight from a villa afterparty! 24hrs in Ibiza, 100% fun memories guaranteed!
