The record you put on in the morning to start the day with a smile…
I love RnB nowadays, so I’d put on a Trey Songz track called ‘Slow Motion’ to get me all smiling for the rest of the day.
Can you cook? What is your speciality dish?
I try to cook a couple days every two weeks, but still learning! My speciality right now is a healthy dish with Quinoa, fried eggs, salad and chicken wings.
The perfect breakfast would be…
Two sunny side up eggs with toast, keeping it simple!
The most unusual thing I have ever eaten…
This one time I was in Mexico, they tried to give me bugs to eat. I had one, but I felt so disgusted afterwards.
The dish that reminds me of my childhood…
Spaghetti Bolognaise!
A piece of food you just can’t stomach?
People will think that I’m crazy, but I hate chocolate. Don’t know why!
Your favourite restaurant in North America
Nobu, Vegas.
Your guilty pleasure food. You know you shouldn’t but you always do…
A good old juicy burger from Mc Donalds once in a while never hurts..
If you could have a master-class with a celebrity chef, who’d you pick and why?
I would go for Jamie Oliver. I went to his restaurant once in Liverpool and I loved it. I love how he cooks with fresh ingredients and tries to keep everything as healthy as possible.
Your favourite restaurant in your home country The Netherlands
Momiji Sushi, Den Haag.
Your favourite restaurant in Asia
Almost every restaurant lol! I love Asian food, so you can take me anywhere.
Your favourite restaurant elsewhere in Europe
BFOR in Ibiza, great sushi…
When I know I am in the studio all night I make sure the fridge is full of…
Perrier sparkling water, beer and sushi.
The best and worst food you have ever tried at a festival?
We always have the most amazing food at festivals when we are in Belgium. But sometimes you also have festivals where you have to eat burgers that taste like a year old.
Dead or alive – 5 people from history/celebrities you would invite around for dinner…
Michael Jackson, Drake, Rihanna, Chris Brown and Charlize Theron.
A dish you have yet to master…
I really want to master my own risotto.
The country you love returning to, to sample their cuisine the most…
That has to be Indonesia – and in particular their Nasi Goreng. It’s too good!
Ibiza…
My favourite restaurant on the island…
I love eating at the Pacha restaurant. I ate there a couple times before a show and it’s too good. Expensive but delicious.
The best sunset spot for a cold drink…
I really like Mambo. Playing there and seeing the sunset…amazing!
An album you love driving around the island listening to…
All the Drake albums that ever came out.
The best paella is at…
Can Gat in Cala Sant Vicent (below), really good fish and paella!
The best Ibiza picnic beach
I really like the spot behind Ushuaia just to hang out and have some drinks on the beach.
A record that always reminds you of Ibiza…
‘We’re Going To Ibiza’ by the Vengaboys…lol
And finally…what is coming out next from you studio wise…?
A lot! We have a single coming out every month from now. My new single with Quintino ‘Aftermath’ just came out on Spinnin’ Records and is almost top 10 on Beatport.
